sister's wedding pictures!!!

First of all...this is Angus. He is living with us for a couple of weeks while his mom is away on vacation. He is the size of a small dog and is one of the smartest funniest cats I have ever catsat.
He is a Maine Coon and boy does he live up to the race!
He is wonderrrrrrful company and boy can he purr!

I got to Chicago, after a turbulent ride and severe motion sickness...it was bad... a half hour early. BUT, then I had to walk the 20 minutes? It seemed like an eternity...from the terminal to customs. It was the longest walk I have ever done in an airport with many tired confused passengers. Moms with babies were especially tired and run down. I walked with a young French mom and her 2 little ones. We exchanged bags to make the walk easier for her and for me.

Here are wedding pictures. This was snapped in the bridal suite before the ceremony. Me, dad, Ruth, mom and grandma.

The father/daughter dance with bubbles and the Shepard shoe tradition. One takes a shoe off and throws it down when something makes them cry (happy or sad). There were lots of shoes at the end of it and my sister's in-laws learned a new tradition.
Our growing family. Me, mom, Ruth, Freddy, dad.
Yes, that is the Italian flag behind me. I tried to crop it out. I don't know what it was doing there.

Hmm... not so sure about the cake man!We danced and danced and lost track of the candles...oops. Makes for a pretty shot before blowing them out.
The garter tradition.
The happy couple leaving under a canopy of bubbles!
I went to the airport with a cousin of my sister's and her best buddy. We ate at Chili's in the airport. I had forgotten how BIG the portions are in the States. I couldn't finish this! And to think the server asked me if I had wanted and appetizer! My stomach has definitely shrunk! I was also severely jet lagged. I slept all the way to Paris.

Got to Paris earlier then scheduled. So, we stood then sat in the plane at a remote satellite location waiting for the buses. Then, we filed in the hot humid buses and off to customs again!
I went to work in the afternoon....

Am now home in my apt. and am going to sleep since I just got back from Normandy and another awesome wedding! I will get those pictures up next. Now to sleep after being totally wedding partied out!
bisous de Paris

You know, it's funny about your long walk through O'Hare. I think the longest airport walk I've ever had was also at O'Hare. Had to go underground on a giant moving walkway to get from one terminal to another, and then another! It doesn't seem to be a well laid-out airport.

And yes, the food portions in America *are* huge. Some times I eat lunch out with my coworkers, and I always eat about half of my meal, and save the other half for dinner. And I don't go hungry at all. It's ridiculous!
