Gone with the wind!

Here is a photo from one of my recent trips around Paris. This one of my favourite metro stops: Arts et Metiers. Looks like a submarine!
Pictures are thanks to a friend who lent me his camera for a few weeks! Merci Chris!
:-)
YES, it is SSSSSSSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO windy here!
It feels like the Santa Ana winds. The wind picks up and then blows everything around and then calms down a few minutes and then picks up again!!!
I can't keep my new haircut straight. But who cares, everyone else is fighting the wind too. Windswept up do is in. And forget about trying to put it up then it is that nice wispy windblown look.
It is really agitating the students and the adults. Everyone is on edge and some are just downright grumpy. Just like home during the Santa Anas!
Pros: Less pollution (well, it is just being blown somewhere else), nobody is having a good hair day so no worries, just spread out your scarf and hold on to travel, can't smell one's neighbor even when standing right next to them ;-)
same with smokers smoking!, clouds are really pretty, motivates me to stay indoors and organize! :-)
No more need for leafblowing...they blow anywhere they want.
Open your windows for one minute and the whole apartment is blown out!
Cons: Can't see with all the particles flying around ( makes for interesting navigation of sidewalk- great way to meet people!), the cafe terraces are closed since it is too windy now to sit outside and enjoy this extremely warm winter, open windows are dangerous,
subways are jam packed as many people don't want to be up on top, trees are falling and that means electricity problems especially when transports run by electricity (yesterday my train got cancelled because the doors were stuck closed! am glad I wasn't IN it when that happened!!!)
The open air markets on our street are fighting to keep the awnings down.

Here is the street Beauregard!
Neato!
For those of you who don't know...this is a piece of family history!
I can't remember, but I think it is on my Pawpaw's side?

Playing with the photo...liked the black and white effect with the poster.

This is the centre Pompidou.
All the pipes or pipework are on the outside of the building.
Went here to meet up with my cuz for a Starbucks run. I had chai...still am working on tolerating the taste of coffee! I can handle espresso now.
I miss Iced Capio!
Have to run ....am on my way to Paulette's for a market run- ooh the wind will be tough at the open air (lots of air!) market and lunch and then we are going to watch the Magic Flute.
BISOUS
