Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know, I know it is late in the game and you all are probably out and about taking advantage of the great sales by the time you read this...SORRY!
I hope you had a great time with family and friends and had wonderful turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie and lovely pecan pie!!! yummy!
I went out with my flatmate, Michael and a colleague and her friends to the Mauritian restaurant to celebrate. We had masala chicken and samosas. Hey we did what we could!
Our oven is too small for a turkey, but we are planning to do a stuffing and turkey meal...it is in the works....see we didn't get Thanksgiving off like y'all so we have to find time to be in the apartment together to fix it.

So what is going on with Grace and why have I not been writing well, lots of stuff...details to follow. Firstly, I wanted to upload more photos but I could only get enough connection for this one. ( I uploaded 4 others and only this one came through?)
As some of you know, this is the pyramid entrance to the Louvre. I got my membership card so I can now go freely as I wish (one of the perks of being a teacher!)

So, I am back to work teaching and working at one of the headquarters with interviews and teacher training. It has been a pleasure to be back with my students and colleagues. There are several new schools this year that have been fun!
My health has taken a weird turn this year. I thought I had a hernia, but now it turns out I have some sort of nodes that appeared for no apparent reason? The doctor is still running tests and apparently I have or had an infection somewhere and we can't find it?
I have more tests Saturday. Michael and my cousin Amelie have been great help. The pain was so bad at one point that I couldn't walk so Michael chipped in and Amelie helped me get to a screening.
I am learning lots about the medical system here. Socialized health care is quite interesting. I get to go out and find my own ultrasound clinics and blood work clinics and make my own appointments and relay the info from the Doctor myself. My doctor here is wonderful. I have known her for 2 years so I feel like I am in good hands.
Mostly the biggest change is having to relax and stay in most nights. I have never been so tired! I am just wanting to get to the bottom of this and find out what is going on.
My health has also seriously hampered my studies so I am thankful that my professor has been so understanding. I will have lots of catching up to do!

Well, that is a quick update from here...yes, there is more to write but I think this has been long enough.
Hopefully more later!
Bisous from Paris,
and Thanksgiving hugs to all!
Remember to give thanks for all the good things!
-Grace
