Olvera Street and Metrolink Weekend cont.

One side of Olvera Street.
The commemorative date for the "El Pueblo" on the cross is September 4th, 1781.
That is pretty old for California!
I believe El Pueblo means the village.

An inside shot of the Metrolink.
Forgot to put this one up earlier.
It is quite spacious and very clean!

A bridge over the 101 freeway.
Notice the Los Angeles Street exit sign.
And lack of traffic ....rare!

This is the view after crossing the 101 freeway.
One entrance to Chinatown.
Notice the Historic Route 66 sign to the right.
I believe this is the intersection of Cesar E. Chavez and Broadway.

Rodolfos outdoor restaurant.
We had taquitos and enchiladas with refried beans and salad.
Muy bueno!

Native Americans doing a dance in the plaza next to Olvera Street.

Avila Adobe: the oldest existing house in Los Angeles. Built about 1818 by Don Francisco Avila.
