more photos from Paris...

Hello from Paris!
Things are calming down now and I am getting around easier on the public transport system. The big news is I have got 2 weeks vacation to relax and try to do as much as I can in Paris with my friends and colleagues as I can!
The CPE is gone now, from what I understand it is going to be replaced by something else. I still don't understand all the details.
The first picture here is the small Statue of Liberty in front of the Eiffel Tower. I took it Sunday after going to a concert at Radio France.
I went with a friend to see the Turkish Whirling Dirvishes.

This is a photo of a cool amphibian car that Gérald found on the banks of the Seine (merci Gérald!). Look closely...there are 2 propellers underneath the rear bumper. I did not mean to get the pot of cactus in the foreground, but I had no other choice of angle with which to shoot! The amphicar is on a barge that has been transformed into someone's living space.

Have to run here...we are on our way to Rainforest Café at Disney Village for my cousin's birthday!
We spent yesterday together as well and toured the François Mittérand Library, the Vincennes Forest and the Fair that just opened up. Then, we hit the Champs Elysées for the movie Wassup Rockers- a film about South Central Latinos in the ghetto. It was very interesting and very colourful!
Made me think and also made me sad.

Well, have a great week....hope y'all are well and know that I am supposed to fly home in mid-July. The airline still doesn't know when exactly..they will call me when they do.

Bisous from Paris,
Grace
