Visa and more pixs time!

Yeah!
I now have my visa! Went to the Consulate on Friday and got my visa. Never did get my contract. Turns out the school district wrote a letter replacing the contract so we could get our visas. Guess I get my contract when I arrive? No one seems to know how we are getting them nor where they are exactly? They are somewhere getting the stamp of approval or on their way to the district office. Love that bureaucracy. At least I now know there are lots of other teaching assistants in the same boat.
Now I am shopping, packing and organizing....
I leave Wed. for Paris and am excited, nervous and happy and scared all rolled into one!

Here are some more pictures for your viewing pleasure!

My former college roommate Sarah came down from San Fran. so we did San Diego all the way up to Santa Monica in one weekend and yes, part of that was on the 1 PCH! It was beautiful and we had fun eating fondue and yes, more CREPES!

Here we are eating Fondue in La Jolla with my friend Emily. We squeezed into this booth to take a picture. Actually a French man politely offered to take the picture for us. We had great fondue: the cheese kind and the meat kind with dessert fondue to top it all off. A very fun and LOOOONNNNG dinner. You can see the handle of the fondue pot in the reflection in the mirror behind me.

We stopped off at Wayfarer's Chapel on the coast. http://www.wayfarerschapel.org/
It is a beautiful glass chapel built by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1951. It is on the peninsula in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA.
I first heard about the chapel when my cousins Sherry and Randy got married there. I was a flower girl. Boy how time flies!

Then I took Sarah to have crepes at Creme de la Crepe....I just love going there!
Here are Andrew, Marie-Dominique, Jean-Gabriel, Juan, Susan, Sarah, and me happy after our crepes! We had dinner crepes and dessert crepes YUMMY GOOD STUFF!

oh dear! just realized this picture is too dark...will have to work on that sorry!

Have to run....
Have a great day!
bisous,
Grace
