New Orleans, Gulfport

Thanks to those who have asked about my family and friends and the Katrina aftermath.
So far most of my family including extended family has checked in to say they are ok. However some of their homes have water possibly up to their roofs this being the ones in New Orleans area. Flooding there is extensive. Most of New Orleans is under water and looks like it will take a very looooonnng time to recover.
We have not heard yet from friends in the area. But, looking at the city...quite possibly their homes are under water as well.
Gulfport is in shambles and has no power.
We are all very sad and would appreciate your thoughts and prayers.
